Question. I have heard that
you can buy ready made web site front ends to put your own information in,
is that right
Answer. Yes, and
you can get free ones too.
The ready made website templates vary from something like
we have created for our tutorial right up to very sophisticated and complex
ones. The average cost seems to be around $30, which seems quite reasonable.
The current www.beckhamdigital.co.uk site is one of those
templates from a company called smartwebby. You need to be aware that some
of the ready made menus that come with these templates are not quite so easy
to change without some knowledge. We needed some assistance with our own website.
It costs nothing to try a few of the free ones and all they
usually ask is that you leave their credits in place at the bottom of the
pages

Question. When I put my index
page up on my web site, the text on the page showed, but the logo and buttons
showed as little boxes with red crosses in them.
Answer. You have either not uploaded the folder
that contains all the buttons and logos or the links between your index page
and those buttons has been lost. If you upload a page to any web site that contains
pictures, buttons or grafix, they need to be uploaded too.
