Here is a recently recieved comment on this DVD
Hi Barry and Carol,
31st July 2007
I purchased a copy of PTE Animation Special last week and found it to be brilliant and worth every penny, better than any book I could buy. I have downloaded nearly all the tutorials published on the PTE forum, these in themselves have been very good but the simple way in which your DVD explains things has taught me so much over these last few days.
Thanks for producing such an informative DVD, keep up the good work.
Regards,
Ray.
Animation in slide shows can be a blessing or a curse. Used in a subtle way it can add charm and interest to a presentation, but very easy the reverse can be true. The most important question we should ask ourselves before adding animation to our slide shows is, what will the animation add to the impact and appeal of that show.
We must keep in mind that animated images generally need to be on screen longer than static ones, so another question we may ask ourselves is this. Is the image I am about to animate strong enough to be on screen for 20 seconds.
All these issues and we still have the technicalities to master too. In this DVD we have concentrated solely on animation. The DVD came about as a result of the question we kept being asked. Does Beckham Digital do anything on just animation. Well, we do now.
We have covered a number of techniques and ideas that uses animation and most of our tutorials will be accompanied by a slide show demo that was created during the recording of the video. However, we start by demonstrating what the Moire effect is and how to defeat it. This is a very distracting shimmering of animated images that can destroy the charm of a slide show. It’s not the fault of our software and in some certain circumstances I am told you can see the Moire effect with the naked eye.
One of the biggest plusses for those of us who wish to explore animation is how well PicturesToExe handles both animation and transitions, even on quite large images. PicturesToExe has really come of age with this latest release
