Image Size -This is a group of slide shows made for our Starter Disk for PicturesToExe 6.5. Our starter disks are made with the newer user of the software in mind and we think this is the subject you need to start with. Establish your sllide show size and format before you go racing off to create your shows. Here we suggest a way forward and supply a demo in every format generally in use by enthusiasts. |

There
is no such thing as the perfect exposure
- Made with PTE 6.5 Beta 5.
This PTE slide show is a serious look at Exposure. Why
exposure is still the Holy Grail of photographers and
why so many images seem to miss the mark. It is also a
pop at all those people, who over the years have whined
in my ear about how manipulation is somehow not cricket.
Every time it was said to me it told me one important
thing. That the person saying it didn't understand exposure
or the limitations of their photographic equipment. What
we see with our camera to our eye is NOT WHAT WE GET.
Image manipulation is how we bridge the gap between what
we did see with our eyes and what our camera was able
to capture. Be that on a computer or in a darkroom. |

Everlasting
Home - Created with a beta version
of PTE that included all sound editing done within PTE
6.5 beta. Lots of work went into this sequence building
it up from the Music first and adding images that the
music needed. |

Botanical
Artistry - A lot of work went into
the creation of the images using Photoshop and then the
placing of those images within the slide show. The right
music had to be found that enhanced the introduction of
each image and I think I have found that with one of our
own royalty free tracks called Peace of the Inner Mind
from the Peaceful
Album
Each image was created an placed individually as they
were created and few needed to be changed. What animation
has been included is delicate and measured and was more
to make the images fit the music rather than for animation
sake. I needed to hold one or two images and chose strong
images and added gentle animation to hold the attention
and appeal. (I hope) |

Natures
Textures - Here is a short slide
show I have been playing around with for some months,
trying to get the right feel to the images and the manipulations.
In the end you get so wrapped up in the project that you
have trouble seeing the wood from the trees. Your own
judgment on whether you are producing anything others
may want to see becomes clouded and the only solution
is to post it and see what others, (not clouded with the
same creative mist) makes of it. |

Location
- The Sunshine Coast - In this
first sequence we will show you where we have chosen
to set up our new life in Australia. This is a huge
country and the size is often underestimated by those
who have never visited. Lets show you not only where
we are in relation to the rest of the country, but also
tell you a little about this fascinating country.

A New
Home - One of the high points
of moving house is being able to show friends and family
around when they visit. That is a little difficult when
most of them are in the UK and we are in Australia.
Well, we hope that in time many of you will visit and
look us up, but right now we can only show you around
through our photography. So, let Carol take you on a
tour of the house.

The Local
Area - The area we live is called
the Sunshine Coast and for good reason. The Australians
come here for their holidays because it is such a beautiful
place with lots to see and do. We are close to the Glass
House Mountains, Australia Zoo (Steve Erwin's zoo) and
beaches to die for. These images are a few of those
we have taken in the first few months of living here
within 30k of the house, but most were taken much closer
than that.

show is an excuse to show a few more images of the area

Another
Age. - This slide
show is a continual montage throughout. The idea was
to keep a constant flow of images onto the screen and
to have the format from the camera retained. There is

Impressions
. While looking back

this show one morning. All the filtering of the images
was done with Photoshop actions and the show was created
start to finish that morning |

grey dull day that probably suited the subject far better
than bright sunny conditions. We originally made a Fountains
Abbey AV way back with slide tape. However, after many
years another visit was called for. |
