Alien
Skin Exposure2
Well as it says on the tin
- Alien Skin Exposure2 is a plug-in
for Photoshop, Elements and nost other image editing programs.
Exposure provides amateur and professional photographers,
with one-click access to the broadest range of film stock
and special effects settings available anywhere.
The new version
of Exposure delivers even more features that add the look
and feel of film to digital photography. Users can easily
simulate current and discontinued print and slide film stocks
both black
and white and color and subtly manipulate realistic
grain, mimic darkroom effects like push and cross processing,
even save a signature look as a preset. Whats more,
everything in Exposure 2 is accessible in one simple interface.
We took a look
at these filters and they work very well indeed. We first
took the image you can see below and applied the Kodak Infrared
film Kodak HIE Diffuse/

You can see that this filter
has applied bags of good contrast and a diffused grain,
and effect that I recall from my days of using B&W infrared
film.

If you look at a section
of the Exposure2 screen you can see the number of options
you have for Infrared film alone, the one we used above
is high lighted.

In addition to the one click preset that
we used, we also have a number of tabs where we can then
adjust the present using a colour tab, tone, focus, grain
and Infrared.

So with a change of one slider we can add
more halation opacity to add a glow that we often saw with
Infrared film.

Here our image is seen through the eyes
of Ilford Delta 100 film

There are just too many different film types
and options to cover on these pages. It is sufficient to
say that you have enough variety here to keep you busy for
ages. We have not even touched the colour side of these
filters yet. Take a look at this option to fade all leaving
strong reds.

In our next example it is listed as a Daguerrotype
sepia
