Age Audio Visual
This video came about after we created
a slide show called Another
Age and had a number of people ask
us how that slide show was created. You can download
that slide show from the link above and you will
see that it contains a number of montage images
in an almost constant flow from image to image.
Please note that this slide
show has been optimized for screen resolutions of
1280*1024.

The technique almost has two parts
to it, firstly creating the montage and then using
the layers from that montage to create the images
for our creative slide show. In this 28 minute video
we demonstrate how to create a montage using a number
of different images. We can often make a great montage
by amalgamating 4-5 images that is far stronger
and has more impact and charm than any of the individual
pictures.
Critical sharpness is not always
such an issue, so images can be used here that would
not see the light of day elsewhere. We use layers,
layer masks and demonstrate how easy it is to create
a multi-layer montage image. Of course Photoshop
Elements doesn't have layer masks, but we also show
you a way to create them. We can make Elements think
it is Photoshop.
Finally we show how the different
parts of the montage can be saved as separate layers
in preparation for a creative slide show. Then we
take you into PicturesToExe 5 and create a short
demo slide show using the images we created during
the recording of the video.
