When we shoot our images we must make sure that our photographic techniques are spot on. If we get the exposure right at the time and manage to capture an interesting image we are 70% of the way there. However, we do have to tune our eyes and brain to recognize what we see in the Raw file thumbnails. Sometimes they can look a little lacking in impact, but it could be a big mistake to delete the image or pass it by. In this video we take an image through Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop CS 4 using 16 bit processing, Smart objects and the new Graduated filter option.

As usual, we think we also put our own slant on things and use the full power of Photoshop CS-4 to turn an ugly duckling into a swan. The video runs for 43 minutes and is 80MB in size including the start and finished images
