Hi Barry,

I Downloaded some PTE and CS5 Tutorials last night and stayed up until 1:30 watching some of them. Your teaching style and photography along with your polished presentations and examples with PTE are absolutely first class. I will have to go through them again to apply the techniques to my own slideshows, one of which I am trying to produce for a wedding I did recently. The frames tutorial will especially help me with this presentation.

I was a little apprehensive at first in pushing the button to purchase, but I can categorically say they are well worth the money, because of the effort, examples, dedication and time you have given to ensure they are easy flowing and easy to use. Top class service from a master of PTE, Photoshop and Photography. Also the how to win tutorial, it’s so…. spot on in the commentary.

My only problem is that it looks like I may have to download more of them!

A quick thank you for the 'Technique and Manipulation' disk that arrived this morning. Although I have not yet had a chance to see it all I can already tell that, in my opinion, it is the best one yet. The exposure and bracketing section is an excellent 'refresher' course and reminds amateurs like me about  many of the things we have forgotten, or maybe got a bit lazy about.

The pelican section is brilliant - and that is as far as I have got!

I have just finished working through your "Starter Disk" for PicturesToExe. It was a shear delight and I enjoyed every second of it. Your attention to detail is second to none and your clear instructions are easy to follow. At my age I will have to play each recording again and again to aid my memory retention, but that will be a pleasure. I have been using your tutorials for a long time now, and they were always good, but now they are truly amazing.

Downloaded the Mac version of Gateway to Australia and it played perfectly on my 24 inch monitor filling the entire screen with excellent quality images.

Purchased your CS-4 Shooting Raw DVD a few weeks ago. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant and better than any book you can buy. Playing it now for the third time and learning so much every time.

Hello Barry,

I just wanted to tell you how impressed I am with your work. The shows I had seen on your web site in my eyes are fantastic, just fantastic. For slide shows I have been using ProShow Producer for a long time. I have been a happy camper until a gentleman by the name of Lin Evans showed me some of the shows made with PTE. Then he directed me to your site and your shows, WOW. ProShow Producer is a good program but it will never produce the quality pictures that I have seen in your shows, never. I purchased PTE the other day then downloaded some free tutorials that Lin suggested just to get the hang of this program. Looking at all your tutorials I'm overwhelmed. I did however make a purchase from you. Because I have PhotoShop CS3, I purchased CS3 The Digital Garage. I would love to learn your technique on the cutout (I know two) and the method you use to paint these autos. By year’s end I hope to be able to make a slide show with PTE that will come just a little close to what you do. Your work has inspired me to try.

I recieved your Elements 6 starter DVD today, and would just like to say how pleased I am with it. For to long I have been one of those `head in the sand` photographers, who felt it was all far to complicated for a technophobe like me to understand. Being virtually the last person in my club to buy a digital camera, I felt like `canute telling the sea to go back`, but your very easy to understand DVD`s have made the nightmare a lot easier to deal with !!!!!! I should like to thank you and Barry for the Digital AV course yesterday.

The day was most instructive and enjoyable and well worth the drive. I am much more confident about assembling sequences now than I was at 7 am on Sunday morning, although I shall need to study my notes and the DVDs very carefully. You looked after us very well indeed which is greatly appreciated. The really good thing about the day was the relaxed atmosphere created by you and Barry which greatly enhanced the learning experience. The way of demonstrating made learning easy even for an old codger like me! I shall write a review of the day for the UPP magazine which I edit – next issue due in October.

I’m sitting here watching some of the shows on the “Tips & Tricks vol 4”. I’ve watched them numerous times especially the Ireland & Enigma shows. You guys have such unbridled creativity, it just blows me away. The images are always wonderful but it’s the transitions that make your shows a work of art. You guys inspire me so much. When I order a tutorial DVD, I think initially I’m more excited about seeing a new slideshow. Thank you so much for including new shows with each disc. Even with your obvious talent your shows just keep getting better – more elaborate creative transition effects. You keep raising the creative bar. After viewing a new show, my reaction is usually 1- amazement, 2- question the quality of my own work, 3- disillusionment, 4-inspiration to do better. I know the overall quality of my shows has gotten better over the past 1 ½ years since I first started using PTE. I hear it from viewers who visit my site. I try to encourage as many as possible to checkout the site of the “Grand Masters” of slideshow creation to see what amazing imagery presentation is all about. It also keeps my ego in check.

On another topic; I was speaking (e-mail) with David Moore a few days back. He expressed some sadness regarding your upcoming move to Australia. I told him at least he got to know you – I never will. Living on the west coast of Canada presents some challenges – logistical and expenses. I will just have to settle for the fact that I DID find your site and have been fortunate to see a great deal of amazing and inspiring work.

Just a very belated note to thank you both for the hospitality and wonderful AV training day that I attended on 3 February. I came away full of excitement and enthusiasm! I have since been on a trip around the world, and have brought back many many lovely pictures which I can't wait to work on.

I have also set myself a task of recording my Father's life history (he is 93) and putting this together on several AV presentations with pictures,
voice and music - I think it's going to take me sometime!

I have highly recommended your courses and DVDs to friends too; Barry's explanations of what to do and especially why, are excellent.

Just to say I got the DVD's fully intact this morning and although I've only had a quick look at the disc's I can say they are BRILLIANT and in
such an easy style. I wish I could tell everybody learning Photoshop Element not to waste their time with the boring manuals and buy the set
of DVD honestly I've been addicted to learning this software for the last few weeks but I knew as soon as I flicked through the DVD's I just
knew I'd cracked it!!

I was desperate to learn how to do a pan shot for a sequence and downloaded the 41 page tutorial from the Wnsoft site. Yes it told me in depth exactly
what every button does and why. What it didn't tell me was how to do the b%$$*y thing. . I must admit, I skiped to the bit on Barry's Animation DVD about
panning and I now know what to do (and have now done it) - even learnt some tips on photoshop as well. Really looking forward to relaxing and watching
the remainder of the DVD.

At 9.15 am today Saturday the disc pops through my letter box. What was the hold up I wonder.....????

What fantastic service you provide. It cannot be long before Beckham digital operates a 'thought transference' system. Whereby one only has to think to

I am the chairman at Stevenage Photographic Society where you gave us a talk in January. You seem to have inspired many of our members and interest in Photoshop has never been greater.

I travelled to Ely on Sunday with some friends for the Big Digital Day and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Very entertaining and quite a nice little venue there.

We watched your slide show on New England and have been arguing about the differential focussing sequences. Some of us think you have blurred the
background and the foreground in Photoshop, others say you used a tripod and took two pictures of each bunch of leaves, changing the focus manually.

Just had to comment on "THE DIGITAL NEGATIVE - NORTH NORFOLK" yet again a fantastic DVD tutorial and as usual very comprehensive & enjoyable to watch. You could pay a great deal more for tuition of this quality and that's often without the ability to re-visit those techniques which you haven't grasped first time round.which in my case is usually quite a few, but with DVD you can pause or replay to your hearts content.

I'm building up quite a collection of your tutorials Barry, from when you started producing them, I thought they were good then. but they are superb
now, next step for me is to buy your new "CREATE A WEBSITE" tutorial so that I can inflict my efforts on others!

Hi Barry - I have just downloaded "Cumbria" and thought I would drop you a note of thanks and appreciation of your work. I am an hardent fan.

I live in Cumbria, in fact in walking distance from Ullswater. I love the fells and the lakes. I try to emulate your artistry but I fail miserably. I think I'm doing Ok
until you bring out another slide show and then I realise how much more I have to learn. I do not get despondent only inspired to do better.

I'm about 95% Beckham taught and enjoy your tutorials.

First of all I would like to say that I had a fantastic time at the lecture held at the Queens Park Camera Club in Glasgow a couple of weeks ago - the way the the whole presentation was done, in a relaxed but very informative way was superb. I learned a lot of things that day which was due to the way in which Barry conducted his lecture and the way that things were explained and demonstrated. None of all the technical blurb only what had to be gone into was done and in layman's terms I cannot praise you both enough for a great day and I hope that you enjoyed your trip up to Scotland.

The other reason that I am sending you this note is that my father has just changed to digital and over the last couple of years I have been teaching him how to use a computer and he now has his own but is finding it very difficult to get his head around all the jargon and what he has to do to use Photoshop !! I have been trying to teach him this new software but it is very slow going I was wondering whether Barry had done any of his DVD's in the form of a "Dummies guide to starting Photoshop " sort of thing as this would be just the sort of thing that would be great for my father and I am sure that I will learn something new along the way as well.

We both agreed that listening and watching Barry demonstrate techniques etc in his easy manner was extremely good and I took in things a lot easier than some of the courses that I have been on for Photoshop.

We did purchase a few of your DVD's when we were there and they are great but if there was something a little more basic for beginners to hand hold them through the start of Photoshop and lead them on to better understanding where they could then make more use of the more advanced DVD's then that would be great. I am sure that there must be a lot of people out there that are turning to digital that are totally in the dark about Photoshop and hope that you have something along these lines that I could give to my father that he would benefit from.

I’ve just watched “Black Country” again, maybe for the 20th time, but the first time in a while, and I have to say “hats off to Barry”, it really is a masterpiece. The music is fantastic, bit the pictures, the transitions are just mind blowing. I have to be Barry’s biggest fan in Ireland and having followed him since March 2003 in DP, I think I must be one of the top 10 in Ireland at creating slide shows. I only spotted recently that your web site has a piece written by me endorsing Barry’s tutorials, I was delighted to see it there. Keep up the good work. The very best to you and Barry.

Joy and Mike Hancock and the members of the Mundesley Photography Group have asked me to write and thank you for a truly excellent evening's entertainment on Friday 3 December. This was our "blockbuster" of the year and it really lived up to its name.

The members were treated to a display of outstanding creative work plus the opportunity to learn from someone who has complete control of digital imaging. The evening has been a topic of conversation amongst them ever since.

It was a relief to me to see your faithful following, after the change of venue. The re-issue of posters, and 'stop press' in various local publications, (who were very co-operative) paid off in the end. But it was a worrying time, not to mention that the County Council decided to close the coast road from Sheringham to Cley for road works! I have yet to hear of anyone who turned up in Holt at our usual meeting place, but I expect that I will.

Anyway thanks again, for providing a highlight to our club calendar. I have heard only favourable remarks about the presentation.

Many thanks for the four CD's of your av tutorials,they are supurb and they will help me a great deal. I used to do AV using 35mm slide projectors and electronics, the digital side on computers seems a lot simpler,and I hope to use a digital projector in the near future.
Ii have been using PAINT SHOP PRO 8 but have decided to change to ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 2 which i managed to purchuse a
copy today.

What a superb day we had yesterday. Many, Many thanks - I know that from the response of those attending you must have realised that everyone thoroughly appreciated all aspects of the day - from the sharing of information to the excellent photography throughout the whole of the day. Something for everyone from those not so experienced in Photoshop to those more proficient and some converts to the art of audio-visual. One of our members who has been in photography for a very long time said that for the very first time he was inspired to have a go using Pictures To Exe. I attended one of your lectures at Lancaster University on the 19th of October 2003. I enjoyed it so much that I bought the set of 6 Tutorial CDs.

Thanks for Photoshop Volume 7, which arrived this morning; an astonishingly fast turnaround.

I have given its content a cursory look and I am very impressed by its presentation, organization and content. I am looking forward to studying the detailed explanations and tutorials in depth. The "Audio Visual" is an unexpected bonus; the images are superb and blend together very well, I also enjoyed the accompanying music, which fitted in well.

I believe Black Country is the finest slide show I've ever seen. A friend showed it to me probably a year ago, long before I knew anything about PTE.
I have since bought PTE, made my first show, and now made the connection to bbdigital. I've watched it another half dozen times and it still moves me
every time I see it. I see something else I missed every time, too.

Thank you for the tutorial CD's. They have been an enormous help and the "Pictures to Exe Tips, Tricks, Techniques and Fun Stuff with Pictures to Exe" CD is a must for everyone using PTE. All the tips are all excellent and practical, and the section on using Photoshop actions will save hours in preparing images for slideshows.

After seeing the "Shooting Raw" CD I can now see the benefits and feel confident in using this facility.

I Have just purchased the AV Starter CD and Pics2Exe with the intention of seeking an easier alternative to PowerPoint I am delighted with the results. The Tutorial was splendid and I was up and running first time; no hitches.

Dear Barry/Carol-----May I take this short moment in time and send my thanks for the Tips/Tricks CD you mailed to me, It is fantastic and very easy to follow, I have just finished a course at the local collage on multi media/Adobe7 and it cost twelve time more than your CD and having learned more in the last few days than what I tried to absorbed at the course, not only was the course expensive we also had to purchase books that was ordered for us whether we wanted them or not.

Barry I hope you don't mind me going into your web page and looking at what you have done and trying to figure out how you came to the end result, I think your programs are fantastic, I also have PictureTo exe installed from the very first time it appeared in Digital Photo mag. and also a special thanks for the information on the upgrade which I now have installed and working, I also think the program is fantastic.

You get better & better! I’ve just watched your new “DIGITAL NEGATIVE” DVD Fantastic! It could be called a “Digital Darkroom Masterclass on DVD!” with so many hints & tips along the way, it’s very comprehensive, I’ll need to refer back to it time & time again, but that’s the beauty of DVD. The Photo you used is also fantastic & it’s great to see the before & after shots. It’s inspiring, I think this DVD should be considered a must have for any Digital Darkroom worker, Great Stuff!
