Installing
PicturesToExe (PTE) and your Product Key
PicturesToExe 7 (This short addition was added in December 2011)
Please note that from the launch of PTE7 in late 2011 the type of product key changed from one you double click and install, to a series of numbers that can be typed into a field.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
We receive at least 2-3 of these questions every week in our emails
1. I have installed PicturesToExe, but I can't find my product key and as a result I can only use the software as a trial with just 10 images?
2. I have bought a new PC and cannot find my product key?
3. I have had to reformat my PC, how do I get my PicturesToExe installed on the re-formated PC?
There are two ways to purchase PicturesToExe, on line as a download or via a CD from Beckham Digital
PTE Purchased as a download
If you bought PTE as a download
over the Internet via the www.wnsoft.com web site, then your
original product key would have been sent to you on a confirmation
Email. If your computer has crashed or you don't have that
Email now, then the only option you have is to contact www.wnsoft.com
and see if they can resend your product key again. If you
do this, make sure you give them as much information as possible,
i.e. Roughly when you bought PTE and what your Email address
was at the time. If www.wnsoft.com cannot help, then you may
need to purchase the product key again. Remember it really isn't Wnsofts's responsibility to recall every single customer and what product key they were issued with.
While it is a little late now, you should always save your product key off your computer preferably on a CD so you can always gain access to it at any time. However, you need a solution now and we can offer only one other option. A utility was created by a PicturesToExe enthusiast for retrieving your product key from any machine that it is installed on. So, if you have more than one PC and have PTE running on your other machine, a Laptop maybe you can try this utility We have never used this utility ourselves, but it may be worth a try if you do have your version of PTE on another machine.
PTE Purchased on a CD from
Beckham Digital
If you purchased your PicturesToExe
on a CD from Beckham Digital, then you already have your product
key on the CD and the help files on the CD will help you locate and
install it. However, as you have arrived here. We include
the process below.
1. Insert the
CD and install PicturesToExe slide show software on your computer.
2. When the
installation is complete PicturesToExe will automatically
launch. Close it down and clear the screen of all programs
3. Install the CD once again and when you see the opening
screen appear and the menu below click to Install the Product
Key

4. You will
then be taken to the screen below, which explains what will
happen. The PTE Key is not a number you type into a field,
it is a tiny file that you install

5. Your Done

6. If you purchased
your PicturesToExe some time ago, you may not see the screens
above. In that case follow steps 1 and 2 then come back to
step 7.
7. Place the
CD in your CD drive and when the opening screen appears close
it down, go to Windows Explorer and locate your CD drive.
Open the files contained on that CD as shown below.

8. Double click
the Product Key folder and look for a file like the one shown
below, although it may have more information than this one.
Double click that file and install the key to your PC registry
